MBABANE – Government has announced a series of strategic transfers involving Communications Officers across various ministries, a move aimed at enhancing efficiency, strengthening institutional capacity and supporting effective service delivery throughout the public sector.
The changes were announced by the Private and Cabinet Office on 1 June 2026.
The Government Press Office informed media houses that the transfers form part of routine administrative processes undertaken periodically within the Public Service to ensure ministries continue to benefit from diverse expertise and professional experience.
Under the latest transfers, Nomvuselelo Dlamini has moved from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs. Her reassignment is expected to bring valuable experience in public communication to a sector that continues to play a significant role in promoting Eswatini’s tourism offerings and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Lindokuhle Lukhele has been transferred from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to the Ministry of Public Service. The move places her within a ministry that plays a central role in coordinating government human resource management and public sector reforms.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development will welcome Gugu Masuku, who has been transferred from the Ministry of Education and Training. Her experience in communicating education-related programmes and initiatives is anticipated to add value to the ministry’s stakeholder engagement efforts.
Another transfer sees Hlobisile Vilakati moving from the Ministry of Public Service to the Ministry of Agriculture. The ministry continues to implement programmes aimed at enhancing food security, supporting farmers and advancing agricultural development.
Meanwhile, Baphelele Dlamini has been reassigned from the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs to the Ministry of Education and Training. Her transition comes at a time when the education sector continues to drive initiatives focused on quality education, skills development and learner support programmes.
Government said the transfers are part of normal administrative adjustments designed to promote professional growth, facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure ministries benefit from fresh perspectives while maintaining continuity in service delivery.
The Government Press Office also expressed appreciation to media organisations for their continued support and collaboration, noting that the cordial working relationship between government institutions and the media remains important in keeping the public informed about national programmes, policies and developments.
The latest reassignments reflect government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening public sector performance through strategic deployment of human resources while ensuring communication remains a vital tool in advancing national development objectives.
