ESABELWENI – His Majesty King Mswati III gave Nazareth Baptist Church Leader, His Holiness, Unyazi Lwezulu five cattle as a token of appreciation on his departure today.
His Holiness spent about two weeks in the Kingdom where he visited Royal Residences in all four regions for prayer services. Before his departure, this past weekend, the Shembe leader and church members held the Sabbath Church Service on Saturday and the Umgidi on Sunday where both His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Indlovukazi were in attendance.
Thousands of worshippers from the Nazareth Baptist Church, popularly known as Shembe, had gathered at the Ludzidzini Royal Residence for the Sabbath Church Service and Umgidi.
On his departure today the Nazareth Baptist Church had one message to His Holiness Unyazi Lwezulu, “remember us” as he departed Sabelweni after a two-week meeting in the country.
One of the key messages shared by Unyazi Lwezulu while in the country was during the Sabbath Church Service at Ludzidzini Royal Residence.
The leader of the Shembe Church, called upon Emaswati to always protect His Majesty the King.
Speaking during a Sabbath Church Service held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence, the church leader said it was the responsibility of all citizens to pray for and safeguard the King as he continues to lead the nation.
Addressing thousands of congregants gathered for worship, he emphasised the importance of loyalty, respect, and unity around the institution of the monarchy, noting that the country’s peace and development are closely linked to the strength of its traditional leadership. He called for the nation to stand firm as the King’s shield at all times.
“I urge you all to always protect the King. This must be done through our prayers, our actions, and our commitment to preserving the values that unite us the nation,” he said.
He said the King carried the hopes and aspirations of the people, and it was the people’s collective duty to support him.
The church leader further encouraged Emaswati to remain united and to uphold the principles of love, humility, and respect for one another. He said national harmony could only be achieved when citizens worked together and placed the country’s interests above personal differences.
During the service, prayers were offered for the King’s health, wisdom, and continued guidance as he leads the nation. Congregants also prayed for peace, prosperity, and unity throughout the Kingdom.
The Sabbath gathering attracted thousands of worshippers who joined in songs of praise and thanksgiving. The service was marked by messages of faith, national unity, and appreciation for the role of the monarchy in preserving Eswatini’s cultural heritage.
The church leader concluded by urging Emaswati to remain faithful and committed to building a stronger nation for future generations, while continuing to support His Majesty in his efforts to promote peace and development across the country.
