HIS MAJESTY’S VISIT TO MKHUZWENI ELEVATES THE VENUE’S STATUS – EFA

MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has expressed profound gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III for his visit to the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre, describing it as a significant honour.

The E35 million facility, located in the northern Hhohho Region, was constructed with the support of the world football governing body, FIFA. It serves Premier League, Regional, and Development teams, enhancing football infrastructure in the country.

In a statement issued by EFA’s Marketing and Communications Officer, Muzi Radebe, the association extended its heartfelt appreciation to His Majesty for the royal visit, highlighting the impact it had on elevating the profile of the centre.

“EFA hereby extends a special tribute and momentous gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III, together with the Royal Household, for touring the EFA’s Mkhuzweni Technical Centre. His Majesty’s visit to this facility bestowed it with a sense of royal grandeur and historical significance, further enhancing the image of football and the country both locally and globally,” the statement read.

The EFA also acknowledged the support and participation of various stakeholders, including the Head of Government, Cabinet members, Members of Parliament, Chiefs, the football fraternity, the Mkhuzweni Community, and the media, whose contributions were instrumental in ensuring the success of the event.

“All these stakeholders’ input was pivotal towards the successful execution of His Majesty’s tour to the technical centre. Bayethe, Wena Waphakathi,” the statement concluded.

The royal visit is seen as a significant boost for football development in Eswatini, reflecting His Majesty’s continued support for sports in the nation.
