Speaking today October 29,2025 at the “Unlock Made in Eswatini” session at the United Nations House in Mbabane, HRH Princess Sakhizwe highlighted the vital role of local enterprise in promoting economic growth, job creation, and national pride. She also expressed appreciation to His Excellency Henrik Franklin, UNDP Resident Representative, for the organization’s ongoing support in advancing Eswatini’s development agenda.

The event drew together government officials, corporate representatives, development partners, entrepreneurs, and media, reflecting the unity and collaboration essential to strengthening Eswatini’s industries.

“Unlocking potential requires courage, collaboration, and clarity of vision,” said one speaker. “It challenges us to look inward to unlock personal mastery, institutional readiness, and national alignment towards a shared future of economic empowerment.”

Over the past year, the Made in Eswatini Movement, championed by A Peculiar People in partnership with UNDP and other stakeholders, has significantly increased the visibility of locally made goods and services.

Beyond promotion, the initiative stands as a statement of national pride, showcasing the creativity, resilience, and quality of Eswatini’s entrepreneurs.

“Let this be a turning point where we define not only what qualifies a product or service to bear the Made in Eswatini mark, but also what it means to uphold that mark with integrity, innovation, and pride,” HRH Princess Sakhizwe said.

The announcement marks a new chapter for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), offering a platform to expand, export, and compete while fuelling the next generation of job creators.

“Economic transformation is built through consistent partnerships, shared vision, and confidence in our local talent,” the statement concluded, urging entrepreneurs to embrace the opportunity and define Eswatini’s next era of economic excellence.
