INAUGURAL PARK AND CHILL EVENT AT GOLDWAGEN

MATSAPHA – On May 3, 2025, Goldwagen Matsapha buzzed with excitement as Eswatini Drags and Stance, in collaboration with Goldwagen Eswatini launched the inaugural Park and Chill event.

This thrilling celebration of automotive passion drew together the nation’s most enthusiastic car lovers.

The event was fueled by a vibrant vision to nurture a lively car culture in Eswatini and elevate it as a celebrated sport and attraction. Organizer Mlondi Mpanza passionately shared, “Our goal is to inspire a movement similar to the incredible car events in South Africa, which happen every weekend. We dream of a day when Eswatini proudly showcases its talents at major gatherings like the Vdub Campfest, where car enthusiasts from all over Southern Africa come together to celebrate their love for vehicles.”

An essential aim of the Park and Chill event was to encourage car lovers to care for their vehicles and appreciate the artistry behind them. Mpanza emphasized the importance of maintaining and valuing one’s car, fostering a community that respects and cherishes automotive craftsmanship.

The day was packed with exhilarating activities:

– Battle of the Oldest Sound System: Vintage audio setups wowed the crowd with impressive bass and clarity.

-Crowd Pleaser Competition: Featured Club 009, whose powerful sound displays and synchronized performances left everyone in awe.

Battle of the Cleanest Musa Simelane’s immaculate VW Golf 6 R triumphed over competitors such as Ayabonga Mabuza’s Jetta 5 and Lindani Dlamini’s Golf 6*.

– Best Stance Award: Awarded to Mfundo Magongo’s stunning VW Golf 5 TSI for impeccable wheel fitment and visual appeal.

-Battle of the Lowest: A thrilling showdown between Smally MaMillion Ntshalintshali and Njabuliso Mbhamali, where Ntshalintshali emerged victorious with his impressively lowered Toyota Corolla.

With the venue teeming with energy and camaraderie, the event radiated positivity and a strong sense of community. Mpanza expressed heartfelt gratitude to Goldwagen Eswatini, along with partners Diskibet and MTN, for helping make the event a success. He also recognized the dedication of car clubs and individual owners who contributed to the day’s triumph.

“This is just the beginning,” Mpanza declared with excitement. “We’re already planning to make the next one even bigger and better!”

The first annual Park and Chill was more than just a car meet; it was a jubilant celebration of automotive passion, creativity, and culture in Eswatini. With vibrant DJ sets from Vasco x De Dang,Zole’ka, and Tiphiwo, the atmosphere remained electric, keeping the good vibes flowing throughout the afternoon.
