HLANE- Excitement is building in Eswatini as celebrated South African actress Lunathi Mampofu, popularly known for her role as Zoleka in the hit television drama Inimba, prepares to attend the prestigious Buganu Festival at Hlane Royal Residence this March.
The talented actress will be visiting the Kingdom as a special guest of Their Majesties, with her trip facilitated by the Babukisi Foundation, which played a key role in securing her presence at the cultural celebration. According to the foundation’s director Thobejane Magagula, the organization was entrusted with the responsibility of locating and inviting the actress to participate in the ceremony.
Magagula explained the effort behind bringing the television star to Eswatini, saying:
The actress is expected to arrive in the country on Friday, March 13, 2026, and depart on Sunday, March 15, 2026, allowing her to take part in the cultural festivities and interact with local fans and dignitaries.
Lunathi Mampofu has built a strong reputation in the African entertainment industry through several memorable television roles. Many audiences recognize her for portraying Zoleka Mabandla in Inimba, a character known for her emotional depth and powerful storytelling. She has also appeared in popular South African productions such as The River, where she played Emma, and The Queen, where she portrayed the character Benni.
Her upcoming appearance at the Buganu Festival is expected to draw significant attention from fans and cultural enthusiasts alike. The festival itself is one of Eswatini’s most cherished cultural gatherings, celebrating tradition, heritage, and unity under the presence of the monarchy.
