LUDZIDZINI– Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule has demonstrated Agape Love, the 2026 national theme as declared by His Majesty King Mswati III, through the donation of 1 280 blankets to vulnerable emaSwati.
The distribution ceremony held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence on June 18, 2026.
The initiative aims to cushion vulnerable groups against harsh winter conditions, with the blankets distributed across key sectors as follows: chiefs received 800, churches 120, NGOs 160, and media houses 200, ensuring broad community reach through established structures.
Regional Administrator Princess Tsandzile welcomed the initiative, describing it as a strong expression of compassion aligned with the King’s call that no emaSwati should be left behind.
She urged swift distribution of the blankets to beneficiaries, noting the severity of the cold weather currently affecting the country.
“This is a great initiative that demonstrates love and care for vulnerable emaSwati. We urge that the blankets be distributed quickly so that communities can benefit during this cold period,” she said.
Senator Chief Mvimbi Matse, speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Their Majesties and Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule for their continued support to communities, especially during winter.
He said it has become a tradition for many communities to receive blankets during this time of the year, adding that the gesture continues to bring relief and comfort to vulnerable households.
Representing Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule, Princess Sibahle said the initiative is inspired by gratitude to God and guided by a commitment to serving vulnerable emaSwati annually.
She said the blankets symbolize love in action, aligned with the biblical teaching of loving one’s neighbour as oneself. She also appreciated the leadership of Their Majesties, saying their guidance continues to inspire compassion and unity across the nation.
Princess Sibahle further pledged that the initiative will continue in the coming years, reaffirming their commitment to supporting vulnerable emaSwati nationwide.
