A love story that began Encwaleni ceremony last year has blossomed into a formal union!
In the enchanting kingdom of Eswatini, a beautiful love story has been unfolding between Miss Eswatini First Princess, Nowethu Motsa, and her beloved partner, Mlondie Mohale.
Last week Saturday (30 May 2026) saw Mohale officially ask her hand in marriage from her family in Mliba.
Nowethu, a 22-year-old from Mliba in the Manzini region, is admired not only for her grace she is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management at the University of Limkokwing.
Her rise to fame began when she was crowned First Princess at the Miss Eswatini in December 2024.
The romantic chapter of her life started at the Incwala Ceremony in December 2024 at Ludzidzini, where she met Mlondie Mohale.
She candidly recalled,”It was love at first sight, but ngacale ngamdvwalela after he asked for my number during Incwala. He started texting and I hardly replied for almost four weeks.
Then on January 15 he called and asked to take me out on a date and we went to Ramblass Restaurant on the 16th By then I had it in mind that he might be the one for me .”
“It was just different the way he opened doors and chairs for me, he also bought me my first flowers.”
Their connection deepened after their first date.
Speaking about Mlondie, Nowethu said, “His kindness, intelligence, and genuine care not only won my heart but also taught me what true love really means — calm, effortless, and natural.”
Their relationship blossomed beautifully, leading to a heartfelt engagement at Sibebe Resort on March 27, 2026.
Looking ahead, the couple plans to celebrate their lobola ceremony in Mliba, Nowethu’s hometown, continuing their journey together as partners and soon-to-be spouses.
Nowethu shared her excitement: “Our lobola ceremony will be a beautiful celebration of our love and cultural heritage.”
This modern fairytale from Eswatini’s vibrant cultural landscape inspires many — a love story that shines as brightly as the First Princess herself.
