LOBAMBA— Lobamba Member of Parliament Micheal Masilela has shared a hopeful message about Eswatini’s economic future, encouraging citizens and industries to embrace productivity as a pathway to national growth.
Speaking during a Portfolio Committee meeting in Lobamba, Masilela highlighted the potential within the country’s people and businesses to strengthen the economy by contributing more actively to national production.
He noted that while government spending continues to support development initiatives, a large portion of the country’s revenue still comes from a relatively narrow base. According to the MP, this presents an opportunity for the nation to expand its economic activity.
Masilela emphasised that strengthening productivity involves encouraging entrepreneurship, supporting local industries and enabling more citizens to participate meaningfully in economic activity.
When more people contribute to production and innovation, he explained, the economy becomes stronger, communities benefit and opportunities grow for businesses and workers across the country.
