MBABANE– Following an exciting international break that saw Sihlangu Semnikati represent Eswatini in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, local football action is set to resume this coming weekend with the MTN Premier League Week Two fixtures.
The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has confirmed that all matches from the first round went smoothly before the FIFA week, setting a positive tone for the rest of the season. PLE Chief Executive Officer expressed satisfaction with how the opening weekend unfolded, commending both teams and supporters for their cooperation and discipline during an interview with the EBIS 1 on Monday.
“We are very pleased with how the first matchweek went. The games were exciting, and we thank all clubs and fans for their commitment in ensuring that everything ran successfully,” said Vilakati.
Football lovers can now look forward to a thrilling lineup of Week Two encounters, kicking off on Saturday, 18 October 2025. The headline fixtures include Mbabane Swallows facing Tabankulu Celtics at King Sobhuza Stadium, Young Buffaloes clashing with Moneni Pirates at Mayaluka Stadium, and Mbabane Highlanders locking horns with Manzini Sea Birds at Mavuso Sports Centre.
Other matches on the same day will see Amawele host Rangers at Tabankulu Stadium, while Manzini Wanderers take on Malanti Chiefs in the late kickoff at Mavuso Sports Centre. On Sunday, 19 October, Sisonkhe will meet Ubombo Sugar at Kalanga Technical Centre.
Two fixtures will be played later in the month as Ezulwini United host Royal Leopards on 29 October at Mhlume Stadium, followed by Nsingizini Hotspurs versus Green Mamba on 5 November at King Sobhuza Stadium.
With the national team duties behind, attention now turns to domestic action as fans anticipate another weekend of high-intensity football across Eswatini.
