MBABANE– Young people in the Lubombo Region have an opportunity to contribute to national development as the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office prepares to recruit enumerators for the National Social Registry Programme.
The recruitment exercise will be conducted from 8 to 10 September 2026 across 11 Inkhundla centres, giving eligible Lubombo residents an opportunity to participate in a programme aimed at strengthening evidence-based social planning and service delivery.
The exercise is being conducted by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) in collaboration with the Central Statistical Office (CSO) and ESEPARC.
According to the recruitment notice, applications are strictly limited to candidates who are residents of the Lubombo Region.
Applicants must have a minimum of three credits at SGCSE/IGCSE level or an equivalent qualification.
Those who applied are expected to report to their respective Inkhundla on the specified date at 10am.
The recruitment schedule begins on 8 September, when applicants from Mhlume, Lomahasha, Lugongolweni and Matsanjeni North will attend the recruitment exercise.
On 9 September, the process will move to Mpolonjeni, Nkilongo, Lubulini and Dvokodvweni, while applicants from Siphofaneni, Gilgal and Sithobeleni will attend on 10 September.
Applicants are required to bring an application letter clearly indicating their Enumeration Number, curriculum vitae, academic certificates and identity card.
They must also bring an internet enabled device or smartphone and be prepared to undertake a data collection assessment at the venue.
The opportunity comes as Eswatini continues to strengthen its capacity to collect reliable information about households and communities. Such information can support better planning and help social programmes reach people who need them most.
The National Social Registry Programme is part of efforts to generate evidence that can guide decision making and improve the targeting of social sector interventions.
For young people who meet the requirements, the recruitment exercise therefore offers more than an opportunity to work as enumerators. It provides a chance to gain practical data-collection experience while contributing to a national programme focused on improving the lives of emaSwati.
