MAKOTI FESTIVAL SUCCESSFULLY ROUNDS UP MEDIA ACTIVATION IN LESOTHO

MASERU -The Makoti Festival successfully concluded its third leg of media activation in Lesotho yesterday (March 28, 2025).

The activation took place at the Greenlake Guest in Maseru and marked the final activation in a series that included stops in South Africa (Mbombela) and Mozambique (Maputo) over the past few weeks.

The media activation featured notable attendees, including:

Makoali Tsolo from Radio Lesotho, Chris Theko from Newsday Newspaper

– Representatives from various media outlets such as People on the Move Radio, Meloli Airwaves Media, and Sky Alpha HD.

Additionally, media houses from Eswatini, including Eswatini Positive News, Eswatini Observer, and Eswatini Times, were present.

The Makoti Festival aims to celebrate women and culture, emphasizing that a “Makoti” (bride) does not necessarily have to be married. It serves as a platform for women to network and engage in business across various sectors.

The fourth edition of the Makoti Festival is scheduled for April 26, 2025 at the Malkerns Country Club. Three artists from Lesotho will perform:

– Ntante Stunna

– DJ Mekoko (performing for the third time)

– DJ Tseko(returning for the second time)

Tickets for the festival are priced as follows:

– General Tickets: E300

– VIP Tickets: E500

Tickets can be purchased through platforms such as Howler, Computicket, Mojaticket, MTN MoMo, and the official festival website.

This year’s festival promises a vibrant celebration of Eswatini culture, featuring performances from renowned artists, including:

– Dr. Rebecca Malope (South African gospel legend)

– Lizha James (Mozambique’s queen of Afro-beat)

– Khuzani “uGatsheni” Ndlovu (South African Maskandi powerhouse)

– And many more local DJs and artists.

The Makoti Festival is set to be an exciting event that showcases the rich cultural heritage and talent of the region!
