MANZINI FASHION SHOW CELEBRATES LOCAL TALENT , STYLE

MANZINI – The streets of Manzini were buzzing with excitement and creativity on June 7, 2025, as the Manzini Municipal Council partnered with the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) to host the highly anticipated Manzini Street Fashion Show.

The event, which took place on Louw Street, showcased the best of Eswatini’s street fashion while offering a vibrant marketplace for local vendors.

The day kicked off with a lively flea market, where over 120 vendors displayed everything from locally handcrafted goods to second-hand fashion, jewelry, and home essentials. The streets were filled with shoppers and families exploring the stalls, creating a dynamic atmosphere of culture, commerce, and community. The market set the tone for what was to come—an unforgettable celebration of Eswatini’s rich creativity and spirit.

As the sun set, all eyes turned to the runway. Models strutted down the makeshift catwalk, flaunting pieces from some of Eswatini’s top designers. Carole Lubelo from Norokarmali Studio wowed the crowd with her bold, colorful designs, blending traditional aesthetics with modern flair. LaVivane, another standout designer, brought Eswatini’s rich heritage to life through elegant traditional attire and handcrafted accessories.

But it wasn’t just the clothes that stole the show. The models embodied confidence, charisma, and a sense of pride, each one representing a new era for Eswatini’s fashion scene. The crowd cheered and clapped, caught up in the energy of the moment.

The success of the event was a testament to the power of collaboration between the Manzini Municipal Council and ENCAC, both of whom are dedicated to promoting local talent and fostering a sense of community.
