MBABANE – A 27-year-old woman from Nhlangano has shown that you can achieve your dreams, start businesses, and make money even outside big cities.
In a world where entrepreneurship is on the rise, she stands out for her dedication and passion in not just one, two, but five distinct business ventures.
From the complex art of hair braiding, makeup artistry and weave installations to establishing her own brand that has liquid soap and a skincare treatment line, Nikiwe Ginindza’s journey exemplifies the power of dedication and drive in achieving entrepreneurial success.
Ginindza, is the visionary behind the Calix brand, which offers a range of liquid soap and skincare treatment products, and the creative force driving Nicky’s Beauty Hub, a haven for makeup artistry and hair braiding expertise including weave installations.
In an exclusive interview, Ginindza expressed how she nurtured her talent for hair braiding since high school. The entrepreneur found not just a skill but a calling that would later become the foundation of her empire. With a heart for family and being the eldest with a keen eye for opportunity, she turned her passion into profit, supporting her siblings and expanding her income streams as she journeyed from adolescence to adulthood.
Transitioning into the world of makeup artistry in 2019, she not only sharpened her craft but also embraced the role of educator, empowering others to enhance their natural beauty. At the core of her success lies a client-centric approach, where individual preferences and needs take priority over assumptions.
She highlighted that what set her above the rest is her dedication for meeting the needs of her customers.
“My services are client oriented I strive to ensure that I treat each individual based on their preference and needs, paying attention to what they need not what I think they need,” she said.
Ginindza further urged other young individuals in Eswatini to do what they love in order to excell on it and that with respect and dedication, one can achieve their dreams.
“It all starts with passion and dedication, doing what you love sets you apart and your work will speak for it self. Treat people with respect and always remember hard work always pays off,”
She describes every brushstroke and braid as a testament to her commitment to personalized service, reflecting her belief that true success stems from genuine care and hard work.
Nikiwe envisions the establishment of her own chain of salon franchises, featuring a wide array of Calix products elegantly displayed on custom shelves. Her goal extends beyond mere business endeavours, aiming to positively influence the next generation of female entrepreneurs. She then urged potential customers to reach out to her via her Facebook page Nicky’s Beauty Hub, or directly through her contact number 76088126 or 79088126.
