MANZINI – Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Hon. Mancoba Khumalo, has urged stakeholders to embrace innovation, creativity, and collaboration as key pillars for driving Eswatini’s economic growth.

He was speaking during the Eswatini National Industrial Development Corporation (ENIDC) Industrial Finance Seminar, held at the ongoing Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.

The Minister highlighted the importance of industrial development finance in strengthening the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) performance, job creation, and sustainable development.

“It is about thinking big, being creative and humble enough to partner with others,” said Khumalo, stressing that joint efforts between government, financial institutions, and the private sector were crucial in building a resilient economy.

Khumalo unpacked Eswatini’s GDP, pointing to manufacturing, agriculture, and services as the leading sectors with potential to unlock growth. He emphasized that providing adequate financial support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) was central to industrial transformation.

The ENIDC seminar served as a platform for discussions on investment, financing models, and industrialization strategies, drawing participation from key industry stakeholders.

Minister Khumalo reaffirmed government’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment that promotes industrial growth, innovation, and partnerships to achieve long-term prosperity.
