MOTSHANE- Thulani Ginindza, 40, who was wanted in connection with the killing of his wife, Princess ‘Nunu’ Johnson, has been found dead.
His body was discovered in a forest a short distance from the Motshane family home, and authorities believe he hanged himself. The discovery was made on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
The tragic deaths of both parents have left their three children without guardians. Police and local leaders are working closely to ensure the children’s safety and provide the necessary support during this difficult time.
According to a statement released by the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS), the suspect returned home on New Year’s Day, where a heated argument reportedly occurred between him and his 30-year-old wife. The argument resulted in Princess ‘Nunu’ Johnson sustaining multiple stab wounds and being pronounced dead at the scene.
The children witnessed parts of the incident but acted bravely, alerting neighbours at a nearby spaza shop, who responded immediately. Police praised the swift community action, highlighting the critical role that vigilance and support play in protecting vulnerable family members.
REPS has reminded the public that domestic violence is a serious criminal offence with devastating consequences for families and communities. Authorities also urged residents to report domestic disputes early, emphasizing that timely intervention can prevent tragedies.
“This incident underscores the importance of strong community engagement and timely reporting to protect vulnerable members of society,” the REPS statement reads.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding both deaths are ongoing, as authorities continue to support the affected children and the wider community.
