LOBAMBA– Nsingizini Hotspurs secured a place in the Ingwenyama Cup semi-finals after defeating Msumpe Manchester 6-2 in a quarter-final match played at Lobamba National Stadium on Thursday, March 25,2026 delivering a dominant performance to overpower the National First Division side.
The emphatic result sees Nsingizini join Young Buffaloes, Green Mamba and Manzini Sea Birds in the semi-finals, setting the stage for a thrilling next round as the race for the trophy heats up.
Nsingizini dictated the pace from the first whistle, showing intent with quick transitions and sharp movement in the final third. Their attacking line proved ruthless in front of goal, converting chances with confidence and stretching Msumpe’s defence throughout the match.
Speaking after the match, Nsingizini assistant coach Nhlahla Hlongwa praised his players for their performance and commitment.“We did very well, congratulations to the boys. The first thing we needed to do was to score more goals as early as possible,” he said.
Hlongwa further commended the team’s work ethic, adding, “I want to thank the players for their commitment and dedication. They have set the standards.”He also acknowledged the unwavering support from the club’s supporters. “We thank the fans of Nsingizini, they are always behind us no matter what, whether we lose or win,” he said.
Despite the heavy scoreline, the assistant coach gave credit to Msumpe Manchester for their effort. “We must also give credit to Msumpe Manchester for the two goals. We know they can take chances and score, and they gave us a good game,” he added.
The result underlines Nsingizini Hotspurs’ growing momentum in the competition and signals their serious intent to challenge for the Ingwenyama Cup title as the tournament heads into its decisive stages.
