ANGOLA – Eswatini athlete Siphokuhle Ndlela says she is honoured by her nomination for the RASA Awards, reflecting on her continued growth in sport as she returns to Angola for another international engagement.

Ndlela, who has been part of the RASA Awards landscape for the past four years, described this year’s nomination as a significant milestone in her sporting journey. She noted that returning to Angola has also revived strong memories of her previous participation in the African Youth Games held in December last year, marking her second visit to the country.

The young athlete said her exposure to international competitions has played an important role in shaping her development and confidence as she continues to represent Eswatini on bigger platforms.

“It is not my first time in Angola, but my second. I was here for the African Youth Games last year in December,” she said, highlighting her growing experience on the continental stage.

Ndlela expressed gratitude for the nomination, saying it serves as motivation to continue working hard and striving for excellence in her sporting career. She emphasised that being recognised among other athletes is an achievement in itself, regardless of the final outcome of the awards.

“I feel very honoured and very grateful for being nominated. Only God knows if I will win, but I hope so,” said Ndlela.

Her statement reflects both humility and ambition, as she continues to balance gratitude with determination to achieve more success in the future.
