MANZINI – Enter Oscar Mbo!
The excitement is building for the sixth edition of the House Musiq Festival, set to take place on March 29, 2025, at the Manzini Club in Eswatini. This year, the festival will be headlined by the renowned South African record producer and podcaster, Oscar Mbo.
Oscar Mbo, born Oscar Mbongeni Ndlovu, is celebrated for his unique sound that blends elements of Deep House, Deep Tech, Nu Jazz, and more. He is also well-known for his engaging podcast, The Ashamed Hour.
Joining him on stage will be a stellar line-up that includes Spech and Wigo, who are expected to deliver an explosive performance, and DJ Crooks, known as the People’s DJ, who will take attendees on an unforgettable musical journey. Additionally, DJ Thakzin, the mastermind behind the innovative 3-Step sound, will bring vibrant energy to the festival.
The festival’s Phase Two lineup was announced last month, featuring DJ China, who will kick off the event with a special three-hour set starting at 1:00 PM. Other notable artists include June Jazzin, DJ Wicked, DJ Ndumz, and DJ Rekorder. This impressive line-up builds on the excitement generated by Phase One, which featured South African House icon Vinny Da Vinci and local Afro House duo The Scientists.
In addition to the music, the festival will offer interactive workshops, panels for music lovers, and a variety of food trucks and vendors. Nduduzo “Dankos” Nkonyane, the Public Relations Officer, highlighted the opportunity for local businesses to showcase their offerings during the event, stating, “This is a great opportunity for local businesses to participate in the festival.”
Tickets for the House Musiq Festival are currently on sale, with General Admission priced at E350 and VIP Tickets available for E1000, which include exclusive perks.
