MBABANE– The “Koshin Wave” is officially hitting South African television screens as Icon PB Multimedia founder Phila Koshin locks in a major deal to feature two of his standout singles on the hit SABC1 drama series, “Amalanga Awafani.”
This isn’t just a one-off background track; Koshin’s music is set to become a recurring heartbeat throughout the 2026 season. Fans of the drama, which explores the volatile world of sudden wealth every Monday to Friday at 18:30, can expect to hear the energetic anthem “Vuka,” featuring ZolazeeLovin, and the soulful melody “Love Back,” featuring local vocalist Zinia.
For Koshin, this milestone is less about luck and more about a proven pattern of excellence. Fresh off a successful placement on the legendary soapie Uzalo and securing a coveted weekday DJ slot on Ukhozi FM, the artist is becoming a staple in the South African media landscape. “I am not shocked anymore, since I recently got a similar project like this,” Koshin says with the confidence of a seasoned professional, noting that “consistent output and quality have opened these doors. I am happy to be part of the team again, as this speaks volumes about the work we are doing at Icon PB.”
The tracks will be strategically woven into the narrative by Koshin and his lead producer, Subjams, to provide the sonic backdrop for the show’s most pivotal moments.
