MBABANE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini says Eswatini is positioning itself to attract major investment and support African-led economic growth following the country’s participation in the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Prime Minister made the remarks on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2026, upon his return from Kenya, where he represented His Majesty King Mswati III and the Kingdom of Eswatini at the high-level summit attended by Heads of State and Government from across Africa and beyond. The summit was co-hosted by the Republic of Kenya and the Republic of France.

Addressing the nation after his return, Dlamini said discussions at the summit focused on ensuring Africans remain at the centre of the continent’s economy and benefit directly from Africa’s vast resources and opportunities.

“The message was clear: for Africa to move forward, every African citizen must benefit from the continent’s vast resources and opportunities,” the Prime Minister said.

The summit explored a range of issues affecting the continent, including economic growth, business development, healthcare, peace and security, all aimed at advancing sustainable development across Africa.

Dlamini said there was strong consensus among African leaders on the need for governments to support African businesses and champion mega projects capable of unlocking economic transformation.

He noted that such discussions resonate with Eswatini’s national development agenda, particularly efforts aimed at attracting large-scale investment to accelerate economic growth and create opportunities for emaSwati.

During the summit, the Prime Minister also engaged with leading African industrialist Aliko Dangote and extended an invitation for him to visit Eswatini and explore potential investment opportunities in the country.

Dlamini further congratulated Kenya’s President William Ruto and France’s President Emmanuel Macron for successfully hosting the Africa Forward Summit and fostering dialogue on the future of the continent through stronger partnerships and economic cooperation.
