MBABANE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini today welcomed the newly appointed National Director of World Vision Eswatini, Mr. Amos William Zaindi, during a courtesy visit that reaffirmed the strong partnership between the Government of Eswatini and World Vision.
The meeting underscored the remarkable progress achieved through this collaboration, particularly in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihood and Resilience, Child Protection, Health (including HIV response), and Humanitarian Emergency Affairs.
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister emphasized government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that all Emaswati enjoy access to safe and clean drinking water, food security, and economic empowerment, especially among the youth. He further highlighted the importance of digital transformation as a driver of inclusive development and the ongoing efforts to prevent and respond to gender-based violence.
Mr. Zaindi shared World Vision’s vision under its new 2025–2030 Strategy, which aligns closely with Eswatini’s national development priorities. The strategy focuses on ending child hunger and malnutrition, eradicating violence against children, improving access to clean water, addressing climate change, and advancing gender equality and social inclusion.
World Vision reiterated its commitment to supporting government initiatives that ensure healthy, well-nourished children, economically empowered youth, and resilient communities capable of producing both for consumption and the market.
PM congratulated Mr. Zaindi on his appointment and extended best wishes for a successful tenure in Eswatini. The National Director was accompanied by World Vision Operations Director, Ms. Sakhile Dlamini.
