MBABANE – Felix Badenhorst will face his former team, Mbabane Swallows, for the first since he left the club in August.
Badenhorst is expected to be part of the Royal Leopard squad that will play the MTN Premier League defending champions tomorrow (Wednesday, December 11, 2024) at Mavuso Sports Centre, kick-off at 6 pm. E30 entrance fee for the supporters.
The game was postponed a fortnight ago, allowing Mbabane Swallows to sort their house in order.
Badenhorst was among the best produced at Mbabane Swallow, but he left in August/ September for the police side.
He joined Mbabane Swallows from Manzini Wanderers and played in South Africa for teams including Jomo Cosmos and Mbombela United before returning to the country for the red and white outfit.
He is also part of the national team, Sihlangu.
The two teams are also still challenging for the E100 000 first-round carrot. Swallows is second with 20 points, five points behind leaders Green Mamba while Royal Leopard is third with 19 points. Three games remain before the first round ends.
The last time the two teams played, the game ended in a 1-all draw, on February 2, 2024.
Mbabane Swallows expected to welcome back Coach Ngwenya from a goalless draw against Nsingizini Hotspurs on Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre while Leopard played a 2-all draw against Rangers.
Green Mamba is currently unstoppable. Their striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa took the lead. He had since scored 13 goals to fire his team to the top of the table.
