KHAYELITSHA – A clinical performance saw Eswatini’s RoyalLegends Netball team secure the Above 40 Tournament title with a 31–15 triumph over Jozzie Groves of the Above 40 Tournament in the final on March, 29, 2026, at a competition hosted by Khayelitsha Netball Veterans.
The tournament, held in Khayelitsha, brought together over 40 veteran teams from across Southern Africa and beyond, with Royal Legends emerging as the standout side following a series of dominant performances. Their journey to the title was marked by consistency, discipline, and a high level of execution in both attack and defence.
Having finished top of the Premier Stage standings, Royal Legends entered the knockout rounds as favourites and lived up to expectations by maintaining their winning momentum. Their tactical approach, characterised by controlled build-up play and clinical finishing, proved too strong for opponents throughout the competition.
From the early stages of the tournament, Royal Legends asserted their authority, showcasing sharp shooting accuracy and cohesive teamwork.
