MBABANE – Rushing Wind Music, a vibrant Christian collective, has made waves with their latest single, “Igama Lakho,” released on March 17, 2025.
In light of this exciting development, we reached out to the group for insights regarding their ministry, formation, and future plans.
Rushing Wind Music is composed of young individuals from the Jesus Calls Worship Centre in Matsapha, specifically affiliated with the young-adults ministry known as Gideon’s Army (GA). The group believes they are called by God to release sounds that are nurtured through prayer and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Their mission focuses on the edification of the Church and serving as a ministry to win the lost.
The concept for Rushing Wind was birthed in 2022 after Bishop R Kasaro, their father in ministry, tasked Pastor Jude Kasaro, the ministry leader, with forming a youth choir. Following consultation and planning, Rushing Wind was officially established on April 22, 2023.
Pastor Jude expressed “The group expresses gratitude to God for all the work He has accomplished through them thus far. Prior to their latest single, they released a 5-track EP titled Release The Rush in 2024, which is available on all online media platforms. These songs arose during youth meetings, where the presence of God honored them, inspiring the vision to share these spiritually enriching sounds with the world.”
According to the Pastor,”Igama Lakho,” their latest single, showcases the talent and devotion of the Rushing Wind Music members. The writing, producing, and arranging involved the group’s members, and the song features Tanele Mnisi*, a renowned Gospel artist from the Kingdom of Eswatini. The track was mixed and mastered by Rhythmic Productions, also based in Eswatini.
Pastor Jude continued,”Looking ahead, Rushing Wind Music is actively preparing for their third annual worship night, titled “The Outpouring,” which typically occurs in October. This event serves as a platform for them to present any new songs they have written.”
The group has several exciting projects in the pipeline, and they encourage fans to follow them on Facebook @gideonsarmy youth and other social media platforms @gideonsarmyjc for more updates. In terms of bookings, they are open to ministerial invitations as the Lord leads. Notably, they will be ministering at Machawe Simelane’s Endless Worship live recording at the Mavuso Trade Fair Pavilion No. 5 on April 12, 2025.
Rushing Wind Music is set to release their first official album in the coming weeks. They invite everyone to stay tuned for this highly anticipated announcement.
Rushing Wind Music continues to inspire and uplift through their music, driven by their commitment to faith and community. Their journey is a testament to the power of music as a ministry, and their future endeavors promise to further enrich the gospel music scene in Eswatini and beyond.
