MANZINI– The Lubombo entertainment scene is set for a cross-border meeting of sounds as South African artist Sami Kay joins a line-up of Eswatini performers for GROOVE OVA EVERYTHING on 29 August.
The event, taking place at Polar Rest & Bar in Mpolonjeni, Siteki, brings together artists and DJs from both sides of the border, reflecting the continued movement of music between Eswatini and South Africa.
Sami Kay’s appearance has drawn attention to the event, with the artist bringing a catalogue that includes tracks such as Amanceba, Nam Angeke, Lengoma and Goli.
Rather than relying solely on the visiting act, the programme places several Eswatini performers alongside him. Bandora, Sweet Shandis, Black and Daza are among the local artists scheduled to feature, while DJs from the Lubombo Region are also expected to contribute to the night. The event will be hosted by Crymsin, who is set to take on the MC duties.
The combination of South African and Eswatini artists reflects the increasingly connected entertainment circuit between the two countries, particularly in border regions such as Lubombo, where audiences regularly encounter music from both sides.
For local performers, events of this nature also provide an opportunity to share stages with artists from outside the country while exposing their work to audiences with different musical tastes.
GROOVE OVA EVERYTHING will take place on 29 August 2026 at Polar Rest & Bar in Mpolonjeni, with the programme bringing together live performances and DJ sets for the night.
