SHARESHA EARNS GLOBAL RECOGNITION FOR ESWATINI BANK

MBABANE – Eswatini Bank’s ShareSha Digital Wallet has earned a global recognition for the Eswatini-owned financial institution.

Because of the product, Eswatini Bank has been awarded at the IBSi Global FinTech Innovation Awards 2024. Eswatini Bank was given the award together with another respected financial institution known as Modefin. According to information sourced from modefin.com, the two institutions have been awarded the Most Impactful Project Award under the Most Innovative Digital Wallets Deployment.

The awards took place in Mumbai, India on November 17, 2024. The awards ceremony celebrated the best in financial services innovation, with representatives from leading banks and companies around the world in attendance.

The IBSi Global FinTech Innovation Awards 2024 celebrated excellence and transformative achievements in banking and financial technology by honouring banks, financial institutions, and technology providers who have driven innovation and impact through advanced technology implementations and the adoption of emerging technologies. The Global FinTech Innovation Awards 2024 saw IBS Intelligence evaluate 400 nominations across 155 and financial institutions and 90 technology vendor across 30 categories all over the globe.

Responding to the positive and encouraging developments, Eswatini Bank Managing Director Nozizwe Mulela said her organisation was privileged that they have been awarded the ‘Most Innovative Digital Wallet’ for their groundbreaking digital wallet solution, ShareSha. This accolade, according to Mulela, recognized the bank’s commitment to innovation and excellence in enhancing the bank’s customers’ digital banking experience.

Mulela said the digital wallet, launched in August 2023, had transformed the way their customers managed their finances, seamless integration with multiple financial services, robust security features, and user-friendly functionalities that cater to the modern, mobile-focused consumer. Furthermore, she said ShareSha had been a key driver in the bank’s ongoing commitment to financial inclusion in Eswatini.
