EZULWINI- It’s more than just a birthday, it’s a celebration of growth, music, and connection.
Eswatini’s entertainer Mongi Simelane, popularly known as Sintour, is gearing up for a one-of-a-kind event as he combines his birthday celebration with the official launch of his new single “Letheka.”
Taking place on October 17 at Mdzimba View Shisanyama, the event promises an electric atmosphere, featuring both local and South African acts, including King P, Miano, Killapunch, DJ Gcokama, DJ Extralove, Tap Tap, and Tilungu.
Speaking about the inspiration behind blending his birthday and single launch, Sintour shared,
“I wanted this celebration to be more than just a birthday, it’s about growth, connection, and giving people something to remember. Letheka is the perfect soundtrack for that, it’s a fun, high-energy track made for dancing and enjoying life.”
The artist revealed that the event has been months in the making, with every detail carefully planned to create something truly meaningful.
“This year is different because I’m not only celebrating my journey but also dropping a single that represents the next chapter. The energy, the people, the support, it all makes this one special,” he said.
Describing the vibe behind Letheka, Sintour explained,
“It’s all about pure vibes. Letheka isn’t too deep, it’s just a song to get people moving and having a good time. Featuring King P, Miano, Killapunch, and myself, it’s a perfect collaboration that brings different styles together for one purpose: the dance floor.”
The lineup, a mix of Swazi and South African acts, came together naturally through shared respect and passion for music.
“I wanted the lineup to reflect unity across borders, and to give fans a unique mix of talent they don’t always get to see in one space,” said Sintour.
Fans can expect a high-energy performance and exclusive moments throughout the night.
“Expect a full vibe from start to finish. I’m bringing energy, exclusive moments, and of course, the live debut of Letheka with the full team on stage. We’re going all out for this one,” he promised.
When asked about surprises for the evening, Sintour hinted that there’s more in store.
“Without giving too much away, I can say I am working on something spicy to create a night built for unforgettable memories. We also have ‘Hamba Ngo Line’ hitmaker and popular Sikhothane dancer Gento Bareto interested in the event, expect anything!”
Expressing his gratitude to his sponsors, Sintour acknowledged the vital role of his partners.
“I’d love to appreciate Matola Entertainment, my South African partner who played a huge role from the song collaboration early this year to this event. I also can’t forget RoadMaster, especially CEO Thabiso Mamba, for offering discounted taxi services on the day. That kind of support makes a huge difference,” he said.

The event’s theme, Bhinca/All Black, carries cultural and stylistic meaning.
“I wanted something that reflects both tradition and style. Bhinca culture is bold and rooted, and all black adds that sleek, elegant feel. It’s a powerful combo that sets the tone for the night,” Sintour explained.
