MANZINI – Save the date!
After drawing more than 10,000 teachers to one of Eswatini’s biggest celebrations of appreciation and entertainment last year, the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated Teachers’ Day Bash will return to the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on Friday, October 23, 2026.
The annual event has grown far beyond a traditional teachers’ commemoration. It has become one of Eswatini’s most anticipated entertainment spectacles, bringing together thousands of educators from across the country for a day of recognition before transforming into a star-studded music celebration.
Last year’s edition raised the bar as teachers from all four regions marched through Manzini before filling the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in what became one of SNAT’s largest celebrations. The 2025 event marked World Teachers’ Day under the UNESCO theme, “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession,” while also celebrating SNAT’s 98th anniversary.
As the official programme wrapped up, the venue erupted into a massive after-party organised by New Life Entertainment, proving that Teachers’ Day had become one of the hottest tickets on Eswatini’s entertainment calendar.
Last year’s blockbuster line-up
The 2025 celebration delivered an unforgettable mix of South African and Eswatini talent, with award-winning South African star Sjava (Jabulani Hadebe) taking centre stage as the headline act of the Teachers’ Day Bash after-party. His soulful performance became one of the night’s biggest highlights, setting the tone for an electric atmosphere that kept thousands of teachers singing along.
Joining him were South African acts Umafikizolo and “Magumba” hit-maker Khadeair, who helped turn the celebration into a memorable night of music and entertainment.
The entertainment bill also showcased some of Eswatini’s biggest names, including Phathwakahle Mabuza, Linda Dlamini, Young Zesh, Jerry P, Trend Twins, Tibza Tubuko Nxumalo, Cybos, DJ Cup, Lady Zee, DJ MBO, M Nation, and Zaimarn, delivering everything from gospel and Afro-pop to amapiano and crowd-moving DJ sets.
Bigger expectations for 2026
With SNAT now preparing to celebrate its 98th anniversary, excitement is already building for what promises to be another unforgettable experience when the Teachers’ Day Bash returns to Mavuso on October 23, 2026. Organisers have confirmed that this year’s entertainment line-up will be unveiled soon, leaving fans eagerly waiting to see which artists will follow in the footsteps of last year’s headline act, Sjava (Jabulani Hadebe), and the blockbuster line-up that made the 2025 edition such a memorable success.
