MBABANE – Blessing Dludlu will host “A Session With Your Favourite Artist” at The Music Lounge, Hatzin Centre, in Manzini on April 26, 2026.
The event forms part of a Sunday Special series aimed at examining the relationship between music and art through conversation and live performance. It will feature guest artist Siphesihle and focus on the personal and creative journeys that shape artists’ work.
According to Dludlu, the session is structured to move beyond traditional stage performances by creating space for discussion. “We are presenting a session where music meets art. We look for the artistic side of an artist and sit down with them to understand their journey and abilities,” he said.
The format will include live interaction, where the featured artist shares experiences, influences and challenges within their career. This approach is intended to give audiences a clearer understanding of the creative process, while also allowing artists to present their work in a more reflective setting.
Organisers have partnered with The Music Lounge, Jonokuhle Upholstery and R Visuals to host the event. The collaboration brings together different contributors within the creative sector, reflecting ongoing efforts to support local artistic platforms.
The session will run from 3pm to 5pm, with an entry fee of E50. It is expected to attract music followers and creatives interested in discussions around artistry and development within the local industry.
Events of this nature have become increasingly common in Eswatini’s arts space, as organisers seek to create platforms that combine performance with dialogue. They also offer opportunities for artists to engage directly with audiences outside of large-scale shows.
The upcoming session is positioned as one such platform, focusing on storytelling and artistic expression. It highlights a growing interest in formats that allow for deeper engagement with music and the people behind it.
