MBABANE– The Lift As You Rise Podcast is gearing up for its upcoming youth-focused event, The RESET SPOT, taking place on Saturday, 11 October 2025, from 9AM to 1PM at the American Corner, Mbabane.
According to the founder and director of the podcast, Sifiso Magongo, the event is designed to be a safe and engaging space where young people can pause, reflect, and reset.
“The RESET SPOT is a youth-centered event under Lift As You Rise Podcast. It’s designed to be a safe and engaging space where young people can pause, reflect, and reset,” said Magongo.
This year’s theme, “Unlocking Youth Potential”, will focus on three key areas that strongly influence the well-being of young people: family, relationships, and money. Through expert-led conversations and interactive activities, participants will walk away with tools for self-awareness, healthy coping strategies, personal development, and community support.
Magongo explained that the inspiration behind the initiative comes from both passion and personal experience.
“The inspiration comes from a deep passion for healthy, secure relationships and my own lived experiences navigating challenges as a young person. I realized that many youth struggle silently with family pressures, relationship issues, and financial stress, and I wanted to create a space that equips them with the tools and support I wish I had earlier,” he said.
Unlike ordinary talks, The RESET SPOT will incorporate engaging elements such as games, reflection activities, journaling, and a 7-day follow-up challenge to ensure participants apply what they’ve learned.
Guest speakers include Certified Money Coach Vuyo Khumalo, Life Coach Emmanuel Dlamini, and Mental Health Practitioner Thandiwe Makhanya. The event will be hosted by popular MC Ace Julz.
Magongo emphasized the ultimate goal of the event:
“Our hope is to have spaces where young people feel empowered to rewrite the social narratives and script their next chapter with clarity, confidence, and community support.”
Entry to the event is free, and all youth are encouraged to attend.
