MANZINI – Dlamini Nontokozo Precious, a young content creator and radio broadcaster at Uneswa FM, is using her voice to inspire others while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Born and raised in Mankayane, Macudvulwini, Nontokozo grew up under the care of her maternal grandparents after losing her father at the age of four. Despite this early loss, she describes her upbringing as normal, shaped by love, guidance and strong family values.

Now a university student, she balances her studies with content creation and broadcasting. Her daily routine reflects discipline and passion. She starts her mornings listening to Metro FM’s breakfast show, checks her social media, attends classes, studies in the library and creates content for TikTok before ending her day.

Her journey into content creation was driven by a desire to be heard. She uses her platforms to share her opinions, personal experiences and to build her brand as a digital creator. Her long-term goal is to earn an income and secure brand deals through her content.

However, her journey has not been easy. She has faced bullying, especially when speaking out against issues she believes are wrong. Despite this, she remains bold. “I stand for what is right,” she says, adding that the support she receives keeps her going.

A turning point in her life came in 2023 with the birth of her younger brother. She says he gave her a new sense of purpose and motivation to work harder so he can have a better life.

Nontokozo credits her strength to her grandmother’s prayers and her family’s support. Though she struggles with social anxiety in public, she continues to push herself, even when people misunderstand her quiet nature.

She believes success means achieving her goals and living the life she dreams of. Her message to others is clear: invest in your dreams, be honest and always give your best.
