MANZINI– Visitors to the 58th Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) will stand a chance to win green energy-themed prizes, including two Electric Scooter X-Off Road units, as well as green-energy-themed prizes through a partnership with the 7th Edition Mlawula Campfire Festival
The prizes form part of the EITF’s efforts to bring its 2026 theme, “Unlocking Green Economy Opportunities for Sustainable Trade Promotion,” to life by encouraging visitors to engage with sustainability in practical and enjoyable ways. This is a shift from the Win A Car competition towards prizes aligned to the theme, as well as making sure more people have an experience of winning prizes at the Trade Fair.
This year’s prizes include experiences that encourage visitors to explore nature, outdoor recreation and greener lifestyles. The approach reflects the broader message of EITF 2026, which places sustainable business practices, innovation and environmentally responsible economic opportunities at the centre of the exhibition.
Among the prizes are eco-tourism trips in the form of packages for the 7th Edition Mlawula Campfire Festival, taking place from 25 to 27 September 2026.
Visitors will stand a chance to win two Glamping Packages valued at E5 200 each. The package includes an en-suite safari deluxe tent with veranda access, a private bar and restaurant, access to a private braai area, private showering units, secured parking space, LED rechargeable lights, a double bed with linen, one full festival ticket and 24-hour security.
Also on offer are 10 Impala Packages valued at E1200 each, including drinks, food and transport.
The Mlawula Campfire Festival is an outdoor experience centred on bringing people together through nature, entertainment and outdoor activities. The 2026 festival will be the seventh edition and is scheduled for 25–27 September, extending the visitor experience beyond the Trade Fair and into Eswatini’s tourism and outdoor leisure offering.
The second category of prizes is an Eco-Friendly Vehicle, with iGlide®️ 8.5″ Folding Electric Scooter X-Off Road valued at E15,000, with two on offer. These scooters promote healthier lifestyles and reduce carbon footprints.
EITF Spokesperson Siphesihle Nkhabindze said the prizes are deliberately experience-based, offering winners opportunities to enjoy Eswatini’s tourism, outdoor and lifestyle experiences while reinforcing the values associated with a greener future.
“We are pleased to offer exhibition visitors chances to win more prizes and, in line with our green economy theme, the prizes this year are environmentally friendly,” he said.
EITF 2026 starts today until September 6 and is expected to bring together businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, government institutions and consumers for 10 days of exhibitions, trade, networking, learning, entertainment and engagement. The Trade Fair has increasingly evolved beyond a traditional exhibition to become a platform where businesses can showcase products and services, engage customers, explore partnerships and identify new market opportunities.
This year, the platform is framed through the green economy, with exhibitors encouraged to show how sustainability can create new opportunities for businesses and communities. Areas associated with the theme include sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling and waste management, green financing and environmentally responsible value chains.
The experience-based prizes provide visitors with another way of connecting with the theme while enjoying the Trade Fair and discovering opportunities beyond the exhibition grounds.
