LOBAMBA – Education is the foundation of a prosperous nation, and Eswatini is taking bold steps to enhance its learning institutions.
King Mswati III underscored the importance of strengthening the education system to equip young people with skills for the future.
The king stated that government is working towards the establishment of a new university, the SADC University of Transformation, which will focus on practical skills development.
“Our education system has produced masterminds who lead multinational corporations abroad. We must now ensure we create opportunities for them at home,” the King stated.
Furthermore, efforts are underway to improve learning conditions, eliminate disruptive elements in schools, and modernize curricula to align with global standards.
The King urged all stakeholders to collaborate in enhancing education quality, as it plays a vital role in poverty eradication and economic growth.
With increased investment in schools and higher education, Eswatini is laying the groundwork for a brighter and more innovative future.
