MBABANE – Straight-Up is going ‘wild’ this February!
Hosted by the vibrant Nokuphila Masangane, Straight-Up will feature a special Valentine’s edition, bringing a unique take on love in the wild.
The episode will air on Eswatini Television Authority (ESTVA) on Friday, February 14, at 9 PM.
This special edition was filmed at the Royal Jozini Private Game Reserve, as confirmed by Eswatini TV’s Senior Marketing Communication and Brand Officer (SMCBO), Nomcebo Malinga. The show is a collaboration between Eswatini TV and Royal Jozini Private Game Reserve.
A Love Story in the Wild
Commenting on the special episode, Malinga said, “Our viewers should tune in for an exquisite experience where the call of love meets exclusive luxury in the wild. This month, viewers will meet two distinct young and married couples who will share their unique love stories, dynamics, and experiences in the heart of a nature lover’s paradise.”
The featured couples include:
- Gospel musician Sphiwo Ndoni Ndlangamandla and his wife, Temvuselelo Ndlangamandla, who will give a glimpse into their beautiful love story and personal definition of love.
- Social media influencer and events promoter Xolani Dlamini and his wife, Namile Dlamini, a model and winner of the 2024 Jumbo Lifestyle Makoti of the Year Award. The couple is known for openly sharing their love story on social media and will discuss their unique relationship journey.
A Youth-Focused Reality Show
Straight-Up is a youth-oriented educational reality show that tackles social and economic challenges faced by young people in Eswatini. The show features young guests engaging in thought-provoking discussions, sometimes with older generations, to gain insight and perspective on life.
Malinga highlighted the importance of youth engagement in the show, stating that it promotes moral education, self-discipline, home training, guidance, and access to rehabilitation services from relevant stakeholders. “Love is no exception. In this special Valentine’s edition, we sit down with young married couples to explore their perspectives on love in today’s world.”
