MBABANE– The Kingdom of Eswatini is buzzing with pride as gospel powerhouse Nothando Hlophe secures a major nomination for the upcoming 2026 Metro FM Music Awards.
Hlophe has been officially nominated in the Best Gospel Album category for her latest project, A New Dawn.
This nomination places her among the elite in the African gospel music scene, further cementing her status as a leading voice in the industry. Nothando Hlophe’s music is characterised by a powerful, versatile voice and a style that beautifully blends contemporary gospel with traditional Swati influences.
Her latest album, A New Dawn, serves as a testament to her spiritual journey, combining profound themes with modern production. The album is anchored by viral hits that have resonated globally, most notably “Methodist Medley.”
This track has become a national phenomenon, recently shattering records by surpassing 10 million views on YouTube. Furthermore, the album features “Sithumela Wena,” another powerful, fan-favorite track that acts as a prayer for divine protection and guidance, which has also surpassed the one-million-view milestone.
