MBABANE – The Women’s National Football Team, Sitsebe, is poised to face Namibia in the second leg of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers with renewed motivation.

The team will present a polished appearance, thanks to NTT Eswatini, which invested approximately E40,000 in procuring tracksuits and golf t-shirts for the squad ahead of this critical match. Namibia will host Sitsebe on Wednesday afternoon at Dobsinville Stadium in South Africa.

Sitsebe enters the match trailing 0-3 after a defeat in the first leg, which took place last Friday at Somhlolo National Stadium. The team was presented with the sponsorship as they bid farewell on Monday prior to their departure from the country.

“NTT Toyota Eswatini has outfitted the Senior Women’s National Team (Sitsebe SaMhlekazi) with tracksuits and golf t-shirts in preparation for the TotalEnergies WAFCON second leg match against Namibia, scheduled for Wednesday at Dobsinville Stadium, South Africa. Kick-off is at 3 PM,” reads a statement from the Eswatini Football Association (EFA).

The aggregate winner between the two teams will face Zambia in the second preliminary round. Namibia is hosting the match in South Africa due to renovations taking place at facilities in Namibia. This arrangement may provide an advantage to the local side, as the match will now take place at a neutral venue.

Under the guidance of Coach Bongani Makhukhula, Sitsebe must score at least four goals to advance to the second preliminary round.
