MBABANE – Rising Stars Generation Eswatini will hold its transformative discipline camp from 11 to 23 August 2025 at Mlawula Nature Reserve.
The 15-day camp is open to young people aged 7 to 25 and aims to address risky behaviors while promoting responsibility, discipline, and life skills.
According to Bongani Dlamini, the Assistant National Coordinator, the program was created to support youth facing challenges such as substance abuse, peer pressure, anger, laziness, and bullying. It also welcomes those who simply wish to grow in character and learn how to navigate life’s obstacles with a positive mindset.

Bandile Dlamini also mentioned that the camp uses manual work, structured group activities, and mentorship to build confidence, resilience, and leadership.
This year camp offers flexible participation options to accommodate more families. This include the fees that have been reduced to make the experience more affordable E1 000 for 5 days, E2 000 for 10 days, and E3 000 for the full 15 day program.
He also noted the significant improvement seen in the youth who have graduated from the camp. “We have seen real change through this camp,” said Bandile. “Some youth improve instantly, others over time, but all leave with stronger values, a clearer purpose, and tools to face life positively,” he added.

The camp operates with a strong focus on safety and well-being. It includes dedicated departments for medical care, mental health, and security. Qualified facilitators including medics, psychologists, and trained youth mentors are on hand throughout the camp to provide support and guidance.
The mental health department offers counselling and trauma support, while manual work activities instill discipline and responsibility.

Dlamini also shared that at the camp, children are encouraged to express their talents, build teamwork, and discover new ways of coping with stress in healthy and constructive ways.
The Assistant National Coordinator also shared the vision of the camp: to raise a generation of young leaders who use their talents wisely and overcome challenges without resorting to harmful behaviors.
