The excitement continues to build for the 18th edition of the MTN Bushfire Festival, with the announcement of South African DJ, producer, and podcaster Oscar Mbo joining the star-studded line-up.
This year’s festival will take place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at the lush Malandelas Lawn in Malkerns.
Oscar Mbo, born Oscar Mbongeni Ndlovu (34), is known for his mastery in Deep House, combining elements of Deep Tech, Nu Jazz, Broken Beat, and Lounge music. The deep house alchemist will bring his groove-driven sounds to the festival, creating an immersive experience where every bass line breathes and every synth feels like the warmth of sunrise.
Hailing from Mpumalanga, Oscar’s sound is globally acclaimed, making him a force to be reckoned with in the world of house music. His tracks, such as “Golden Power,” have topped charts and become anthems for a generation, showcasing his ability to craft soulful, timeless music. As the founder of Golden Boys Ent., Oscar is more than just a DJ; he cultivates a musical community, mentoring and igniting new waves of talent across the world.
Joining Oscar Mbo on the line-up are some of South Africa’s biggest acts, including Bongani Mahosana (Mörda), K.O (Ntokozo Mdluli), DJ Lag, DJ Bob & DJ Bubbles, Jagermeister Brass Cartel, Digital Sangoma, Madala Kunene & Sibulele Xaba, Assa Matusse (Mozambique), The Dizzzy Brains (Madagascar), and Coco Em (Kenya), to name just a few.
