EZULWINI – One ticket. One chance. And a stroke of pure luck.
That’s all it took for Mangaliso Mduduzi Mdluli, from Fairview in Manzini, to walk away with a premium bottle of Hennessy during the highly anticipated raffle draw at Ladies Night, held at Mdzimba View Shisanyama on Thursday night.
In a room full of hopefuls, Mdluli beat the odds.
“It took me by surprise,” he said moments after being announced as the winner. “I didn’t think I was going to win. I only bought one ticket and was really doubting whether I even stood a chance.”
While many patrons entered multiple times to boost their chances, Mdluli proved that sometimes, all it takes is a little faith—and a touch of luck.
“I guess I’ve got good luck naturally,” he joked.
The energy at Mdzimba View peaked just before DJ Tira’s explosive set, with the raffle draw standing out as one of the evening’s most exciting highlights. Mdluli plans to save his prize for a special occasion.
“I’ve kept the bottle safe. I want to open it on Saturday,” he said with a proud smile.
Reflecting on the event, Mdluli praised the weekly gathering:
“Ladies Night has been great ever since it started. It’s always a good vibe.”
