MBABANE – The 4ever Cycling Association has officially announced the upcoming 5th edition of its highly anticipated 2Fast 2Furious road cycling event, scheduled for 16 August 2025.
This year’s race will kick off at Tree Tops then branch from Lukhula, Siteki, before winding through a scenic yet demanding route en route to Big Bend a course designed to challenge riders’ endurance and skill. The race will feature distances like 100km with E250 entrance, 75km with E200, 25km with E150. For kiddies MTN is E50 and the last one is 5km which is E75 entrance.
The event has already sparked significant excitement within the cycling community, boasting 150 registered participants to date. What’s more, the race has attracted regional competitors, with over 20 cyclists confirmed from Mozambique and South Africa, injecting a competitive international flair. “We have more than 20 regional cyclists from South Africa and Mozambique joining us. Tree Tops and Vakasha accommodations have been fully booked by cyclists,” said Clinton.
Embodying a spirit of inclusivity, the 2Fast 2Furious welcomes everyone from children and recreational riders to seasoned elite cyclists. The organisers are committed to making the event not just a race, but a vibrant celebration of cycling, fitness, and community spirit.
Beyond the competition, the association sees the event as an important platform to promote healthy living, showcase Eswatini’s breathtaking landscapes, and strengthen cross-border sporting relationships. “This is the second major road cycling event of the year, following the National Cyclists race in July, and preceding upcoming races like Khemani in Mankayane and Kusekhaya in Mhlume,” Clinton added. “We’re proud to be the fastest event on the calendar and hope to attract even more cyclists from our neighboring countries in the future.”
With the countdown underway, anticipation is building for what promises to be an exhilarating and unifying experience for all participants and supporters. The 2Fast 2Furious continues to cement its reputation as one of Eswatini’s premier cycling events.
