LOBAMBA- Sihlesemalangeni Dlamini, widely known as S’tee SD, is steadily making a name for himself in the music scene. Inspired by the Trend Twins, S’tee SD says he was drawn to deejaying by the way they command the decks and energize their audience.
He began his lessons in December last year and quickly realized that deejaying offered more support and opportunities than dancing. “People support you more in being a deejay and it’s really paying,” he explains. While lessons provide structure, S’tee SD admits he practices more at home, honing his skills in 3 Step and exclusive Amapiano mixes.

He draws inspiration from South African greats like Sun-El Musician, Jazzworx, and Dlala Thukzin. Even at this early stage, S’tee SD has started performing at venues such as If’s Lounge, Soko Lounge, and Ehawini, and audiences have been enjoying his sets.
For S’tee SD, deejaying is more than a craft, it’s a way to feel alive and escape life’s pressures. “It makes me feel alive, forget about my problems, and just heal with the good music,” he says. His dream is to perform at some of South Africa’s biggest events, including the famous Cotton Fest.
Fans can follow S’tee SD on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok under the same handle, keeping up with his latest mixes and performances. From humble beginnings in Lobamba to performing at major events, S’tee SD’s journey is just getting started.
