EZULWINI – The Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Jane Mkhonta, has today officially launched the Eswatini Tourism Nkwe Golf Day at the scenic Ezulwini Golf Club, marking yet another milestone in the country’s growing sports–tourism calendar.
This launch comes hot on the heels of the recently held FNB Challenge Golf Tournament, which attracted both local and international tourists to Eswatini. Building on that momentum, the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) has now rolled out the Tourism Indaba Golf Day, a two-day event that is already in full swing.

Golfers teed off earlier today in what promises to be a vibrant showcase of talent and camaraderie. The day will conclude with a prize presentation ceremony followed by a dinner gathering. On August 21st, the focus will shift to a high-level tourism dialogue, offering a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas on strengthening the industry while giving visitors ample time to explore Eswatini’s scenic landscapes and cultural attractions.
Adding an international dimension, the Nkwe Golf Day has drawn representatives from the South African Golf Association as well as visitors from Botswana, who have all come to grace the occasion and strengthen regional ties through sport and tourism.
Speaking during the launch, Minister Mkhonta highlighted the importance of aligning golf and tourism to broaden Eswatini’s appeal as a premier regional destination.

“This event is more than just a game. It is a platform for us to showcase the beauty of Eswatini, to strengthen partnerships, and to create opportunities for tourism and business growth,” she said.
The event has attracted wide corporate support, with Pepsi, ADE Enterprises, Ubombo Sugar Limited, Big Game Parks kaMsholo, Railways Eswatini, and several other companies backing the initiative. Their involvement underscores the unifying power of sport in advancing Eswatini’s tourism and economic agenda.
With its lush greens, spectacular backdrops, and world-class hospitality, Ezulwini Golf Club sets the perfect stage for what is expected to be one of the kingdom’s most memorable tourism-driven events.
