MBABANE- Aspiring models are invited to showcase their talent as Top Africa Models prepares to host auditions on October 4, 2025, at Cosmic Spa, Johannesburg.
The auditions will take place from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a significant opportunity for models to potentially launch their careers in the competitive modeling industry.
For the auditions, participants must meet specific requirements aimed at discovering diverse talent across the continent. Aspiring models should be aged from 4 to 35 years and meet height criteria: female models (18 years and above) must be at least 1.73 cm, while male models should be a minimum of 180 cm. Additional qualities sought include professionalism, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt and learn. Models should possess confidence, charisma, and a natural presence in front of the camera, with the ability to showcase various styles and moods. Plus-size models are encouraged to apply, reflecting the agency’s commitment to inclusivity.
Participants are also required to wear black tight clothing, with hair neatly tied back to keep the face clear. A natural makeup look is encouraged, and each participant should bring two passport-sized photos that reflect their natural appearance, as well as a Z-card showcasing their modeling portfolio.
This initiative not only seeks to find the next generation of fashion icons but also aims to inspire confidence and self-worth among youth. As Top Model Africa continues to pave the way for aspiring models, it remains dedicated to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
Mbalenhle Manana, the CEO and founder of Eswatini Top Model and Top Africa Models , emphasized the meticulous scouting process involved in selecting models. “Scouting models involves evaluating a blend of physical attributes, personal qualities, and market potential, depending on the type of modeling, be it runway fashion, commercial, editorial, glamour, or beauty,” she stated. Manana highlighted the importance of adhering to industry standards, particularly regarding height for runway models, and noted that “confidence and charisma are essential, as they allow models to stand out and connect with their audience.”
Top Africa Models aims to cultivate a new generation of models ready to sign contracts and grow within the industry, aspiring to transform them into Africa’s icons and change-makers.
The auditions will be judged by notable industry figures, including Kgomotso Seboko, an entrepreneur and award-winning model coach/scout, recognized for his contributions as a beauty pageant owner and international fashion show producer. As the founder of @ks_show_productions, Seboko is known for producing high-caliber international fashion shows and mentoring aspiring models through @ksmodelingacademy.
Additionally, Snowee Nolwazi Simelane, an iconic supermodel from Eswatini and a product of Top Models Eswatini, will also serve as a judge. Simelane’s journey, which includes eight years with Top Models Eswatini followed by her association with Clavon Models in New York, exemplifies the success that can be achieved in the industry.
This casting call represents more than just auditions; it is an opportunity for models to embark on a promising journey in the fashion industry. Whether experienced or new to the field, Top Model Africa seeks diverse talent ready to make their mark.
