MBABANE- Eswatini’s Afrohouse pioneer CeboValz releases soulful and powerful new single “MDALI”.
Mcebo Nkambule, popularly known as CeboValz, is a versatile DJ, musician, and producer who has steadily built a name as one of Eswatini’s finest exports in the Afrohouse scene. A true all-round creative, he has carved out a distinct sound that fuses potent beats, soulful melodies, and captivating dance rhythms, a combination that has earned him respect not only at home but across the SADC region and beyond.
CeboValz’s journey began at a young age when his intuitive musical gift became evident. By 2014, he had formed one of Eswatini’s most celebrated house-performing groups, a move that launched him into the global spotlight and set the stage for international performances. His career-defining moment came in March 2024, when he became the first Swazi DJ to hold a residency at South Africa’s YFM YTKO on Tuesdays, following his victory at the Inthering DJ Competition, a milestone that underscored his growing dominance in the Afrohouse scene.
Now, CeboValz is back with a brand-new release, “MDALI”, a collaboration with Temandla, Umzi, Clinton Hicks, and Volkcane. The track blends hypnotic 3 Step grooves with soulful and emotive vocals, creating a soundscape that is as spiritually moving as it is sonically powerful.
