MBABANE- Three Eswatini creatives merge faith and artistry in soul-stirring single “Umkhuleko”.
A powerful collaboration is on the horizon as SlimNutty, Bless LePoet, and Ghetto Villah join forces for the highly anticipated single “Umkhuleko”, a spiritually charged anthem that blends Hip-Hop, poetry, and divine reflection. The song, whose title translates to “Praying”, calls on listeners to return to God through prayer and faith, reminding them that worldly distractions are fleeting while spiritual connection is everlasting.
The project’s masterminds, SlimNutty and Bless LePoet, conceptualized and arranged the track, entrusting Ghetto Villah, a seasoned rapper and producer, with delivering its heartfelt message through his vocals. The beat was produced by BoB Musician at Afro Melodies in Lomahhasha, with mixing and mastering handled by Ghetto Villah himself at Samaritan Records.
At just 21 years old, SlimNutty (born Bongani Ngwenya) from Maphiveni represents Eswatini’s new creative generation. A multi-talented artist dabbling in photography, videography, and music, he has built an authentic brand online, sharing both visuals and sounds under the usernames @slim_nutty838 and SlimNutty Nobaby. His musical style fuses Hip-Hop and Afro Pop, blending streetwise narratives with emotional honesty.
Meanwhile, Bless LePoet (Sibusiso Shongwe) from Phonjwane, under Siphofaneni Constituency, continues to cement his name as one of Eswatini’s most influential spoken-word artists. Since 2021, he has gained national recognition with performances on UNESWA FM, EBIS, and Eswatini TV, alongside multiple award nominations, including the 2025 Eswatini Lifestyle Awards. His work, spanning music, poetry, and film, often tackles themes of love, struggle, and faith, making his role in “Umkhuleko” a natural extension of his artistry.
Adding lyrical weight to the collaboration is Ghetto Villah (Vusi Brain Maziya), a rapper, producer, and CEO of Samaritan Records, known for his contribution to Eswatini’s Kasi Rap movement. After charting in the MTN Bushfire Firefly Top 10 and releasing hits like “Phumekasi” and “Pull Up”, he now channels his energy into music that uplifts and inspires.
With “Umkhuleko”, the trio delivers more than just a song, they offer a reminder to “fear the Lord, praise Him, and follow His commands.” The single will be available soon on YouTube and all major digital platforms.
