MBABANE- Eswatini Bank, in partnership with the Times of Eswatini, successfully concluded its popular “Fetch Your Summer Reloaded” campaign at a vibrant prize-giving ceremony held on December 9, 2025 at Bahle Gallery.
The event celebrated numerous winners while underscoring the Bank’s strategic focus on promoting secure digital banking. The campaign ran since October.
The main event saw the crowning of Vusi Dlamini and Mania Cecilia Da Costa as the ultimate grand prize winners of the campaign. To qualify for the top draw, contestants were required to swipe their Eswatini Bank Debit cards a minimum of 15 times. Both winners secure double tickets each to the highly anticipated Babyface live concert, along with full accommodation and transport—an exciting package that rewards loyalty and reinforces the benefits of using digital platforms.
The grand prize offers a trip to see legendary American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer, Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, who is scheduled to perform two shows in South Africa as part of the “All White Soul Sessions” concert experience in December 2025. Babyface, born Kenneth Brian Edmonds, is known for his immense influence on modern music, having crafted over 26 No. 1 R&B hits and winning numerous Grammy Awards, including four Producer of the Year awards. He famously co-founded LaFace Records, launching stars like Usher and TLC, and created massive hits for artists including Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Boyz II Men. The concert dates are December 12 and 13, 2025, and the venue is the SunBet Arena at Time Square Casino, Pretoria, South Africa.
The celebration also included recognition for the numerous participants who successfully entered the campaign via the Times of Eswatini platform. These individuals were presented with their well-deserved prizes, affirming the success of the joint initiative and the commitment of both organizations to rewarding a broad base of customers. These prizes were awarded as cash prizes. The partnership proved effective in engaging a wide audience and encouraging the adoption of digital transaction methods across the community.
The strategic importance of the campaign was clearly articulated by the Managing Director (MD) of Eswatini Bank, Dr. Nozizwe Mulela-Zulu. Mulela-Zulu emphasized that the initiative was designed not only to reward customers but also to actively showcase the ease and safety of using digital and card-based platforms. She stresses that convenience and efficient payment systems are now essential for the bank’s operations, not just optional additions. Speaking on the bank’s forward momentum, the MD also revealed a crucial aspect of their customer focus: “When you bank with Eswatini Bank, you are supporting a bank that works tirelessly to uplift communities and empower small businesses”. She excited the audience by hinting at forthcoming initiatives, asking customers to “watch the space in 2026” for major developments concerning small businesses. To ensure customer security, Mulela-Zulu concluded with a vital call to action: “Security is very, very important,” and she urges customers to keep their App, and their card safe during this festive season.
The “Fetch Summer Reloaded” campaign successfully married the excitement of large-scale prizes with the critical goal of promoting secure digital transactions. By rewarding customers for swiping their debit cards, Eswatini Bank strengthens its position as a forward-thinking institution committed to both customer loyalty and modernizing the financial landscape in the country. The partnership with the Times of Eswatini ensures that these vital messages of security and financial inclusion reach a wide national audience, promising continued innovation and customer-centric initiatives in the future.
