LUDZIDZINI – The Eswatini Nazarene Health Institution (ENHI) continues to build on its rich history with the country’s leadership through Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital, the birthplace of His Majesty King Mswati III and many members of the Royal Family.

Yesterday, ENHI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mazwi Mavuso led a team of health practitioners at the national Incwala Ceremony.

They not only participated in the sacred event but also provided essential healthcare services throughout the national gathering, just as they did during Lusekwane.

According to the CEO, their presence at Incwala reflects the institution’s deep commitment to the nation’s cultural heritage and the well-being of the Eswatini people, aligning with Their Majesties’ vision for a healthy and thriving nation. He stated that ENHI recognises the importance of supporting national events that embody the history, culture, and traditions of Eswatini.

“We found it proper to support Their Majesties in their dream of developing the country and taking it to the world,” Mavuso said, adding that participating in such significant ceremonies is one of the ways ENHI demonstrates its alignment with the national agenda. He further highlighted that this commitment extends beyond Incwala, with ENHI previously sending libutfo and medical teams to the Marula Festivals at Buhleni and Hlane Royal Residences, as well as His Majesty King Mswati III’s 57th Birthday celebration, demonstrating consistent dedication to serving the nation during key cultural events.

He added that the provision of healthcare services at Incwala is a testament to ENHI’s broader mission as one of the leading healthcare providers in Eswatini. Now comprising the 350-bed RFM Hospital and 20 community clinics, ENHI serves about 40 percent of the country’s population. This extensive reach positions the institution as a crucial partner in promoting healthcare access and public health, especially during large national gatherings where medical support is vital.

RFM Hospital, founded in 1925 by the Church of the Nazarene, has a proud history of serving the eastern and central regions of the country, providing essential services such as maternity care, infant healthcare, and general public health education. This legacy continues today, with ENHI healthcare professionals at Incwala demonstrating their commitment to providing round-the-clock care, regardless of a patient’s financial ability.

The CEO noted that ENHI’s involvement in events such as Incwala not only strengthens its local relevance but also contributes to positioning Eswatini as a nation that prioritises the health and well-being of its people on the global stage. This aligns with the broader national theme of “Taking Eswatini to the World,” where the country continues to compete globally in various sectors, including health.

Through its active participation and delivery of vital healthcare services at the Incwala Ceremony, ENHI reaffirms its dedication to the nation, supporting His Majesty’s vision for a healthy and prosperous future, while showcasing its meaningful contribution to the country’s health and cultural landscape.

Some of ENHI’s contributions demonstrated at Incwala include:

  • Healthcare Access: Providing on-site medical care and ensuring immediate treatment for participants.
  • Community Health Programmes: Extending healthcare services to a large national gathering and strengthening public health efforts.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Playing a key role in delivering essential services during a major national event.
