LOZITHA– His Majesty King Mswati III has commended Emaswati for their continued prayers, saying the nation’s peace is a clear sign that God has answered the prayers of the people.
The King’s message was delivered by Prince Guduza during the 2026 Mothers’ Convention of the Assemblies of God Church, held from March 6 to 8 at the Lozitha Centre under the theme “This is the Day that the Lord Has Made.”
Through Prince Guduza, His Majesty said the Kingdom continues to enjoy stability and peace because believers have remained committed to praying for the country.
He encouraged Emaswati to remain grateful for the blessing of peace, particularly at a time when many parts of the world are facing conflict and instability.
In the message, reference was made to the Book of Revelation, which speaks about nations rising against nations in the end times. It was noted that such developments are visible in various parts of the world today, highlighting the importance of continued prayer for peace.
The prayer gathering was attended by members of the Royal Family, including Bantfwana Benkhosi and Emakhosikati, among them Prince Simelane.
Prince Guduza also clarified that the title Sigondlo is traditionally reserved for the Emakhosikati of His Majesty King Mswati III.
Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Training Owen Nxumalo, who represented the Minister of Home Affairs Princess Lindiwe, assured His Majesty that progress is being made on matters relating to the church’s headquarters.
Pastor Zeph Dlamini delivered a sermon from the Book of Ruth, Chapter 2, focusing on family relationships, particularly the bond between wives and their mothers-in-law.
During the service, church members also offered prayers for Their Majesties and national leaders, in line with the Biblical teaching that believers should pray for those in authority so that the nation may continue to live in peace.
Church leaders also presented tintfulo to Their Majesties, consisting of products produced by members of the church.
The convention also reflected on the long-standing relationship between the church and the Royal Family, which dates back to the reign of King Sobhuza II. The church’s founder, Nicholas Bhengu, brought the Gospel to Eswatini and was welcomed by the late King, who invited him to offer prayers at Lozitha Palace.
Today, the Assemblies of God Church remains one of the country’s oldest churches, with thousands of members across the Kingdom.
