MBABANE– Rising Eswatini music producer and DJ, Genes of the Vibe, is making significant waves in the regional music scene following the release of his latest single, “Basize 2.0,” on March 8, 2026.
The spiritually uplifting track is already gaining impressive momentum across major streaming platforms.
The song features a powerhouse lineup, including Young Zesh, Lungsta Da Deepsta, Acoustic Soul, Fisiwe, and Nicky J. Together, they deliver a resonant message of faith, resilience, and perseverance. According to Genes of the Vibe, the track serves as a heartfelt prayer, asking for the grace, peace, and courage needed to navigate life’s inevitable challenges.
A standout moment arrives during Young Zesh’s verse, where he delivers the poignant line, “Yilwa nabalwa nami Baba.” This plea for divine intervention—asking God to fight one’s battles—has struck a deep chord with listeners, serving as a powerful reminder to hold onto hope even during difficult times.
Reflecting on his artistic philosophy, Genes of the Vibe emphasised that his work transcends simple entertainment. “I don’t just make music; I communicate my feelings and thoughts,” he explained. “I believe my music can touch many listeners because my songs are built on meaningful lyrics.”
This dedication to substance is paying off. “Basize 2.0” is performing strongly on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, with particularly encouraging listener numbers coming from South Africa. While still early in his journey, the producer has already cultivated an impressive catalogue of nine publicly available tracks, including collaborations with prominent artists such as Tman Xpress and Dee The General.
His influence is also growing beyond the digital realm. The Eswatini producer has gained vital stage experience in South Africa, sharing the spotlight with heavyweights of the house and Amapiano scenes, including DJ Stokie, Soulful G, DJ Jaivane, and Loxion Deep. Locally, he has become a staple of the entertainment circuit, frequently performing at popular events such as the well-known Farmers Market.
As “Basize 2.0” continues to build an international following, Genes of the Vibe is rapidly positioning himself as one of the most promising producers in Eswatini’s evolving music industry. His commitment to creating message-driven sound ensures that he remains a creative force dedicated to inspiring hope and perseverance in his audience.
